The Bible gives two reasons for divorce; adultery and abandonment. Theologically many argue abandonment strictly means the physical state. I submit, in the case of abuse they have emotionally abandoned you through; abdication, blocked intimacy, isolation, loneliness, neglect, rejection and lack of protection.
